Our Top Three Recommend Publishing Platforms

Here at Aaxel Author Services, we provide several methods for authors to take the next steps into publishing. Whether you want to work with print or digital, there are many options that can suit your needs. In today’s ever-expanding world of self-publishing, it is vital for authors to know their way around—here we’ve broken down each of the main publishing platforms into step-by-step instructions for use.

Kindle Direct Publishing

Amazon’s self-publishing platform is called Kindle Direct Publishing (formerly known as CreateSpace). Used to publish books online, readers can buy either a print copy or an eBook to download on their Kindle. Independent authors can access readers around the world without going through the traditional printing press, and all for free! That’s right– the only fees you pay are royalties on books sold through their platform.

How does it work?

  • Create an account by going to kdp.amazon.com
  • Once you have created your account, you must enter all the necessary information (address, bank info, etc.)
  • Now you can create your book’s profile and upload the contents.
  • Once your cover and interior have been uploaded, it’s recommended to order a print proof to ensure your book looks exactly as you envisioned.
  • When you are ready to publish, simply make the book live.

IngramSpark:

IngramSpark is another fantastic resource for authors to self-publish their paperbacks and ebooks. It distributes your book to a multitude of retailers around the world. While it is not free to upload your content, setting up a book is $49 USD.
